St. George Utah Childbirth Classes

Mindfully Prepared Birth is a complete childbirth course that prepares parents to give birth feeling confident and supported.

We will discuss having a birth plan, planning for and expecting the best, and remaining flexible because birth can be unpredictable. And so, it is with parenting and life. We can choose to be flexible. We can tune into our child's needs while staying connected and grounded and we can listen to our deepest internal wisdom as our child's mother and father.

We will be talking about letting go of specific outcomes and focusing on what is most important to you on a physical and emotional level and how to allow your baby to come in the way they are meant to be born.

FAQs

Is this class for me if I want epidural or other pain medications in labor?

Yes! It’s not just about natural childbirth for me. When I started on my teaching journey, my focus was on helping women give birth without medication, and while most of my clientele desire this type of birth, some do not. I teach them they still have many choices, whether they want pain-relieving medications or even a cesarean birth. Childbirth looks different for everyone, and that’s okay—we can celebrate our many options.

Should my partner attend the class with me?

Yes! Your partner plays a vital role in the birth process. If possible, have your partner come to class with you; if not, make sure to fill your partner in on what you are learning.
